KEN in a mixed Commercial & Residential Building

Casamia Building in Ulitmo, Sydney is 200-unit commercial and residential building. Privacy and security are the challenges for this project as commercial and residential tenants share the common areas and lift.

This client contracted Ausecom Electronics (Axeze’s distributor) to provide them with the solution to overcome these challenges. The perfect choice was KEN access control system and the KEN Lift Control software.

Residential and commercial tenants had access cards that allowed them access to common areas of the building. The carpark boom gate was fitted with a KEN controller and reader that gave access only to the building tenant who had the access card.

In using the lift, commercial tenants had access only to commercial levels of the building while the residential tenants had access only  to the apartment levels. The Axeze lift control software restricted commercial tenants from pressing residential levels of the lift. This works the other way around for the residential tenants.

Axeze tags/cards are almost impossible to duplicate as Axeze uses read-only tags. Tags/cards are uniquely coded during manufacture and tenants are assured that no other person would have the same coded card. Having the KEN system in place, the client ensured the privacy and security of its tenant.
